From Dubai with Love

Every once in awhile, we are lucky enough to meet people who immediately leave footprints in our hearts. Jean Moraros is one of them. A dear friend and Jean's better half, Mike Monsod, introduced him to us on a Cebu holiday many years ago. Exuding a quiet strength in his gentleness, one feels a sense of calm in his presence.
Catching up over cryptic Facebook messages and updates is great but nothing warms the heart more than a beautiful one-of-a-kind holiday card. I was transported to delight upon seeing the envelope and more deeply upon seeing his artwork. The feeling was akin to reading one of my all time favorite books ~ Griffin and Sabine by Nick Bantock.
I asked what inspired him to create it....

"my only intention was to put a smile on the face of the people i love and care for..."

p.s. ....and it did, I am smiling! :-) and most times, that's all you need to create. Jean cherie, my heart is constantly warmed by our last memories in Paris at a quaint Marais cafe with Mike and Yani singing along to Tres Symphatique as John Malkovich walked by.

I love the way you start this post, "Every once in awhile, we are lucky enough to meet people who immediately leave footprints in our hearts" - as I look back at friendships made, people who've passed thru my life briefly or stayed for a while, I think how true this sentiment is!
